SAC Accreditation for Building Façade Inspection Using Drones
SAC has expanded its accreditation program for Inspection Bodies to now include Building Façade Inspection using Drones, effective from July 12, 2023. This new accreditation category ensures confidence in inspections performed by capable drone service providers and inspection firms for building façades, acknowledged by the Building Construction Authority (BCA) for their regular façade inspection protocols. Drones are increasingly employed across industries for on-site tasks, and in building façade inspection, their integration with data analysis and AI offers advantages like enhanced productivity by swiftly detecting and analyzing façade flaws. Furthermore, this technology aids workplace safety by minimizing the necessity for inspectors to conduct physical inspections in hazardous settings. Applicants must undergo evaluation according to ISO/IEC 17020:2012, alongside specific Technical References and SAC guidelines:

- TR 78-2: Specification for Quality Management and Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
